uh-oh (long)

So I keep my blog away from friends and family b/c inevitably some of them show up in posts (like when I'm frustrated w/ them) and I think it may have come back to bite me in the butt. DH's cousin's gf (soon to be FI) is planning on getting married in Maui and I suggested she take a look at the DW board since it's so helpful. Well, the other day I made a blog post about how I was feeling frustrated b/c they started waffling on dates, I still post on DW and there's a link in my siggy to my blog. I haven't heard from her since. Now, to be fair we haven't seen each other, but we have been corresponding via FB at least once a day for weeks. Then today her bf called DH's phone and I answered. He was very short w/ me and gave me the impression that he was in a bad mood. I really hope I'm being paranoid about this, but my gut tells me she found the post and read it. I deleted it, but I think the damage has been done. I guess I'll find out for sure Sat night when we are at the same family party.

I guess that's what I get for living in a bubble....damn

  • Oh no... :-(

Thats the thing about blogs... Even though I moved mine and am posting under a pen name now I still get a little nervous about writing.  Thats why I still haven't posted that DH got the new job and were moving - because I haven't told work... and I don't know if anyone from my office reads the new one.  That stinks...

Hopefully you are just being paranoid... if not then I'm sure over time she will understand that you were just venting.  Venting in a blog to "internet strangers" is a lot better than venting to yall's mutual friends ya know?

    :-)

  • Uh-oh is right, that sucks. One of many reasons I've considered making my blog private. Hopefully she didn't see it.
    Anniversary
  • Oh no I hope tha she did not see it!  (((hugs)))

  • That's why my first post on my blog told people they read at their own risk because sooner or later I will complain about them or say something they don't like.  I wouldn't worry about it.  It's not like she has never vented about someone else.

I agree with this.... but even so, I sometimes feel like I can't say things I really want to say....however since the majority of my blog was nothing but wedding planning related for the past year, I really didn't care who read it!  But going forward it's going to be a different story!!

Hopefully you're just being paranoid about this Nat!  :)  Hugs to you nonetheless!

  • Oh dear!  I've always been super paranoid about people seeing me posting, and during my process of planning, I didn't share some of the things that my friends/family were doing because I was scared someone would see and get mad.  I feel a little safer on the ND board, because its no where near where I actually live, but still cognizant.  Oy, the silly internet.
