red shoe girl mama of twins

lisa-

congrats!  the pirates are ADORABLE!!  i saw below that you are having trouble with breastfeeding-my sister swore by fresh coconut water-she said that it is really good for breastfeeding and increasing milk supply.  just throwing it out there

Re: red shoe girl mama of twins

  • Booo! I can't get fresh coconut water here. Sad I can't even get fresh coconuts for most of the year...the best I can do is canned coconut milk and I'm guessing that wouldn't have the same effect lol. Interesting that it's good for milk supply though!
  • ***butting in***

Coconut Water is probably good because of the fats and hydration...I know that some women swear by almonds too.  I eat 1/4 c. of raw almonds a day...they do help with my energy levels for sure.

Hang in there Lisa...I am sending you tons of abundant milk vibes...with my oversupply issues (which are not as lovely as one might think) I wish I could give some to you for your little mateys...whenever you can, put them to your breasts and hopefully the signal will get stronger and your body will kick it into overdrive...

Have you chatted online with other mommies of twins who are BFing?  I know there's one with twin girls on the AP Board at The Bump.  Her name is AtlBride23.  Perhaps that might help since I know it's WAY different than just nursing one bebe.
