She had a lump biopsied and found out today that it's breast cancer. She is only in her 40s and is very upset - she was laid off a few months ago and her only child (who she's obsessed with) is going away to college in the fall, so she was having a tough year to begin with. Please keep her in your T&Ps
This is a different aunt than before - the other one (on my dad's side) is doing well! The doctors can't explain it, it's a miracle she's still alive. They gave her 3 months. It's been 2 years and she is in better health & spirits than ever!
Re: T&Ps for my aunt
I can't imagine having to deal with that--at 40!... Wow... T&P to her...
Did they give her any thoughts as to what's next?
Since they just got the biopsy results in, I'm sure she has a bunch of testing ahead of her to determine if it has spread at all. Hopefully it hasn't and they can just remove the lump without issue (or losing her breast).
Kristy... as I'm almost (gulp) 40... I cannot imagine having to go through this... Let's hope and pray it didn't spread and they caught it on time!
So sorry she is dealing with so much right now. I hope the cancer is treatable so she can focus on her future.
