Update on "This Old House"

OMG...so after I posted my vent yesterday we had more interesting things happen here...

The Plumber got shocked!  like electricuted...with 110 volts!  (he's ok though...)

Apparently it is normal to ground the main electrical service through the main plumbing pipes for things like lightening strikes.  In OUR house, there is actually current running through the main plumbing pipe.

The current ran through the plumber when he was cutting the copper pipe to put in a new valve.  The house browned out and we had to pull the main fuses so the plumber could finish by flashlight.

Fun Times!

More for the eletrician to figure out now too!  Woo Hoo!

the bill was actually $1045.

(I'll look into the home warranty, but i think they are for broken things...not upgrades - and most of our stuff is much needed upgrades)
