hello i'm back

just saying hi.  got back from a wonderful vacation on Sunday night.  We had such an amazing time-saw friends, surfed, ate great food, and for those of you who are looking for new books to read i finished Shantaram-which hands down is one of the best books I have read in ages-it is long 900 plus pages but well worth it.  I may even read it again.  sad to be back in la-really feeling like i am ready to leave the rat race and start a simpler life somewhere.

caught up on posts and everyone seems to be doing great-congrats lisa the twins are ADORABLE!!!

xoxo

  • I'm so happy you had a nice time!  You always sound like you really need a vacation.  Your life must be stressful!  Move to Iowa, move to Iowa!  We lead very simple lives here!  Camping, growing our own food, swimming and fishing.  Yes, we are simple folk!

Love to see some pics from your trip. Which part of Mexico this time dear?

  • hahah you are too funny debbie.  we went to the punta mita area-basically we flew into puerto vallarta and then drove north about 40 minutes to a community called punta burro-it is a small area of houses in front of a super fun right point break.  We love it there and we have friends who live in sayulita which is nice when we get to visit with them also.  Funny I have been reflecting a lot probably because i am soooo freaked out about turning 40 and really would like to get out of the rat race-but sady i need to live somewhere near the ocean.  don't have a ton of pictures but will post some soon on facebook
  • welcome back!!
  • Welcome back Alix! Glad you had a great vacation :)

  • happy to have you back!  thanks for the book recommendation - I was just thinking of loading up the kindle for work (pumping) breaks.
  • Welcome back!  The 900 page book read on vacation was mind blowing to me!
