Okay, so it looks like Chicago on July30-August1.

No one posted anything that sounded like they were anti-Chicago.  And if I missed it, let me know, and I am sorry.

Please help me with a loose itinerary. 

Becky, you are "Mrs. Super Organized, Detail Oriented, and Responsible"..  HELP!!!

Kara, you know the area(s).  Maybe suggest a suburb that would be easy to get to on the EL/Metra and also would have cheaper hotel rates than the city, but still have access to public transportation.

Input from everyone will make this a great and fun trip!  What do you want to do?  Where do you want to eat?  Where would you like to stay?

C'mon ladies!

    Chicago is great place. Didn't someone suggest a free zoo? Could we go there on Saturday. Can we get a picture of all of us in our wedding dresses lol Bring our team Gerrie shirts to wear? Ok let me think about this while I'm painting tomorrow & I will help get everyone organized. :)

    Who all will be flying southwest?? I'd like to stay somewhere that is easy to get to from MDW...I don't want to rent a car. Can we stay at a Marriott...Im trying to earn a free flight for the honeymoon!! lol

    i was thinking some place in between midway and o'hare since either one is not convenient for the other.  The only place that would be easiest is downtown since both can hop on trains down, how much are is too much per night?  I"m sure I can find something around $100 down there too

    That sounds good! Im sure ppl will be rooming with each other even if it was a $200 room and 4 ppl are in there I think that would be reasonable....what do you girls think?

    ok,  that would open up a lot more options downtown :)  Would $150/night be ok around there?  We can always set up another group outside of the board to talk about this so it's not open to anyone and see our travel plans...eep!

    I don't think I can go the whole time, but I'm thinking maybe I could try to take the train down and meet up with you guys for a day or something?  I don't know, I'll have to think it through.  My mom and her husband are coming to visit from July 23rd to August 3rd.  I'll have to see what our plans are for when they're coming.

    You guys will have a lot of fun though! I love going to Chicago!

    When I go to Chicago, I use Priceline for hotels and I've ended up with the Hyatt Regency each time (Name your own price - Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area - 4 star).  Super convenient location and very nice hotel.  (http://www.chicagoregency.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp)  I've never paid more than $85/night after all taxes and fees and have gotten it as low as $60/night.  Parking is expensive ($40-50/night), but if you don't drive, that's not an issue.

    Just something to look into.

    Little jealous that I can't make it.  I love Chicago!

    i'm definitely bringing baby.  probably not DH.  the chances of us both getting time off approved on a weekend is pretty slim to none.

    I would love to bring Paul but I don't think he is gonna go unless there is at least one guy there! lol Bring them!! The more the merrier =)
