Foodie Q

Sorry for the NER stuff today... I suck at cooking and have no clue what goes together so any help you can give me would be great. Even if you don't have recipes that's fine b/c I probably couldn't make them right anyway.

What side dishes would you put with a breaded chicken thingy that's stuffed with broccoli? (Yeah it's a ready-to-bake frozen entree which is why I have no idea what the name of it is.) I was going to buy a salad.  I just need 2 side dishes and I'm stuck b/c the chicken already has a veggie in it.

Re: Foodie Q

  • I'd probably do a non-green vegetable, like carrots, turnips, or sweet potato.  I think sweet potato and salad would work well.

Or, instead of a green salad, do a tomato salad, with just tomatoes and basil (and feta or mozzarella if  you want), and a starch, like rice.

  • Hmmm, I would say a starch, like roasted potatoes (with salt, rosemary, and olive oil) or maybe roasted sweet potatoes, which are in season now. Other option are roasted parsnips (yum!) or some rice.?

  • I'd do roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes and a salad.  Keep it simple and yummy.

  • White or brown rice would be good as a side. I think you could do almost any vegetable. Maybe roasted carrots?

  • ok thanks! I can do a potato : )
  • Oh man, I love those things.  They were my favorite dish all time when I was in college.  We called them hamsters since they were brown and oval Wink  And now I totally want one for dinner. Enjoy!
