Hhhmmm...

The boards are dead.  It is Saturday night, which explains a lot.  So I'm going to whine.

I was leaving the apartment tonight to meet the girls -- some of whom I haven't seen since the wedding.  I stepped down off the stairs into the parking lot -- and directly onto a pinecone.  Sean heard me scream and came out to help me hobble back inside.

I currently have ice on my quite possibly sprained right ankle, a pulled muscle in that foot, my left big toenail split all the way down the middle and is gauzed, and my left knee is skinned so bad that it was bruising within 15 minutes of me falling.

Luckily for me, my hubby loves me -- and handed me a glass of whine while he took an alcohol swab to my knee.  And got to hear me scream for the second time tonight.

P.S.  If anyone asks, DH says I'm supposed to tell them I got in a fight with a chipmunk.

A sign of a good hubby is one who has a glass of wine ready for any occasion :) And I'm sorry that damn chipmunk beat you up.

Seriously, I'm sorry you're hurting but thank goodness DH was there to help you out!

  • Chipmunks are rude.

Sorry you got hurt and missed your girl time.  Boo.

But yay for sweet hubbies.  Mine was super sweet last weekend.  We were riding bikes, and my blood pressure got low, and I passed out.  He was super sweet helping me get back up on the bike and back home. Then he kept asking every 10 minutes at home "You still ok?" haha

  • Stupid chipmunks. Squirrel wannabe's anyway.

Sorry you're hurting, but thank goodness for great husbands!

  • whoa whoa...pinecone (I mean chipmunk?)  you must have stepped on it at a weird angle!  so sorry that happened, and I hope you are feeling better.  yay for sweet hubbies :-)

when is your honeymoon btw?  I remember it is coming up soon?

  • I'm feeling better -- just really bruised.  My thumb's purple, my knee's purple, and my toe's purple -- so hopefully it'll go away before I have to walk across the stage in my cute new dress for graduation...  That's knee length.  Silly me!

The first week of June; I'll be excited provided my ankle doesn't still hurt! =]
