Runners--how was your race?
I had a great time, despite the wind. Ran with friends, ran with a smile, finished faster than I ever have before (this was my 3rd). Final time 2:26 and change.
How about you?
Re: Runners--how was your race?
What a great time!! Congrats!!
Congrats on the race!!!!
That's a great time!! Congrats!
I felt great for the first 8 miles and then my legs felt like lead. I'd NEVER felt like that on a run before ever, so I don't know what the issue was. Lack of sleep? Not enough prerace fuel? I watched the 7:30 pacers go by me, then the 2 hour pacers, but tried to keep them in site. Honestly, I almost felt like walking (which I've never felt like before either). I sprinted the last quarter mile and felt like dying and crying. I crossed the finish line after 2 hours (2 hours and 11 seconds) so I wasn't sure if I'd met my goal (under 2 hours) since I didn't know when I crossed the start.
I was very happy to find my chip time was 1 hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds.
And I'm icing my ankles and hip as I type this. :-P
Two Hour Club next year! Great job!
Bummer about your legs, though. That sucks. Way to kick at the end regardless!
