What to wear... in Vegas?
DH and I are going to Vegas this weekend for the first time, and I have no idea what to wear. I'm used to Austin where I can throw on a cotton dress and either flip flops or cowboy boots. I'm guessing that Vegas is a little more formal. Do I need to wear heels every night (please say no)? Are my cotton dresses ok, or do I need to get something a little more flashy? what do you usually wear?

more importantly though - what do you plan on doing?
We LOOOOVED KA! DH raved about it and he's sooo not a cirque kind of guy.
I wore cute sleeveless cocktail dresses and heels for most evening stuff. Did a lot of walking though and by the end of the trip, I was wearing flats or flip flops everywhere because my feet were dying. I thought dresses were good though because it was pretty warm outside when we went (Labor Day weekend) and I could dress them up/down.

I'd wear jeans/nicer top to go to KA, but I think you'd be fine wearing just about anything if you're going to walk around. if you are going to a nicer dinner, bring heels, but you can probably get away with whatever comfy for anything else. like I said, you're going to see it all!
keep in mind - they keep the casinos around -40 degrees, so if you get cold like me, bring layers! even if it's 110 outside.
