Re: *** Aria ***

  • That's cute.  I am very disappointed that Quinto had to glue his fingers together!

I used to pour over the Star Trek manuals at the movie store in the mall, so I did know some of this...

And I've totally told many people that "to boldly go" is a split infinitive...because I'm an English nerd, too.

I've heard that this in an untrue rumor from other trekkies, but who knows? If so, he's forgiven for making Spock so freakin' hot.

I wish we were on the same coast so we could do a marathon! I keep trying to convert J but he has no interest.

  • Sorry to interrupt the nerdytalk (Wink) but Aria, how did your closing go Friday!?
  • Well, we're not completely closed.  The loan group took a while to get their paperwork together, so there's still escrow paperwork to sign and a loan to fund.  The loan funding should happen today and the rest of the signatures.  Still, everything that needed to be notarized is done (loan and title and deed).

We should get keys tomorrow, we think.

    How did yours go?

  • Seamlessly! We got the keys Friday at 4, the hardwood floor guys came at 5, finished Saturday night, and the painters are there today and should be finished tonight. We're really rocking and rolling so we can get out of this little rental by the 15th and have someone else take over the lease!

I'm not surprised to hear there were delays - honestly I was SHOCKED ours went through without a hiccup because I've heard so many stories about how delays are the norm. But how exciting you get the keys tomorrow! There was something just like really gratifying about walking into the house and knowing, like, "Wow, I bought this huge thing with my own money." (Loan withstanding, of course). But I am super excited for you guys and keep me posted on how it all goes!
