Best Jeff Ruby's restaurant?
DH and I have never been to a Jeff Ruby's place, mostly because I don't like steak. I pretty much just eat chicken, turkey and pork. I have been looking at the menus online and I am trying to decide which one to take him to for our 5 year anniversary in a couple weeks. Which do you suggest?
Carlo and Johnny's and the Waterfront seem to have the most variety on their menus so I was thinking about one of those.
Re: Best Jeff Ruby's restaurant?
We prefer the Precinct for a couple reasons. For me, I think it is the best value of all the restaurants. When you order an entree there, you automatically get salad/sides with it. At the other places, you have to order those items a la carte. Not a big deal for some people, but it allows us to splurge just a bit more often than we normally would!
The atmosphere/view at the Waterfront is awesome, but i thought the quality of food there was not as good as what we had at Precinct, and DH and I ordered similar items at both places.
Any Jeff Ruby's place you pick is going to be great, it's just a matter of what your priorities are!

My favorite is the Jeff Ruby's in Belterra! I just think their steaks are the best. I haven't been to the Waterfront though, so I can't comment on that one.
Precinct is the best value out of all the ruby's.
edit: i have had the best cooked food there of the ones I have been too. I have been to belterra, ruby'd downtown and bootsy's
The Precinct is my favorite- value and ambience. But, Carlo & Johnny is cool too and often has live music in the lounge (which is very romantic and fun for after dinner drinks).
ohh reading this post reminded me to go make our reservations for the precinct for our anniversary dinner. thanks ladies!
i am so pumped to take DH there. he has never been to a jeff ruby restaurant.
DH says Carlo and Johnny's for what you're looking for... their menu is the most diverse (pasta, etc...)
Waterfront is great for a romantic night. The view is awesome, and it will always hold a special place in my heart (but that's just me... DH and I went there for our first Valentine's Day as well as the night we got engaged)
Precinct is the most real restaurant. I'm not sure that makes any sense, but when I've gone there, I felt like I was going out for a nice meal and not going 'over the top' for a dinner.
I haven't been to the others to be able to give a complete comparison. They're all good though!!!
