Kitchen help/suggestions (LIP)

So DH and I just bought a condo. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for quick fixes to the kitchen. I was thinking I could paint the cabinet so there's not the wood color on the bottom... or add hardware?

I have no clue!

(Sorry, I don't know how to PIP over here!)

Re: Kitchen help/suggestions (LIP)

  • What type of wood are the cabinets?  You could always remove the cupboards, sand everything down and stain it.  And then a little hardward would tie in the new appliances.  Cute condo btw.

  • A little paint can go a long way! I would suggest finding a way to paint them. It's a pretty cheap solution to the problem and anyone can do it (even me!).
  • How about refacing the cabinets - replacing the doors to a natural wood color?

That way you have to do minimal changes, and it can look modern as well Smile

This.  New doors are in order!  The condo is very cute.

  • Now... where would you go about refacing cabinets/replacing the doors? I'm a totally clueless homeowner. :)

And thanks! We bought it without seeing it... so I hope it's cute. :)

  • pretty much most kitchen / cabinet / closet places will do it.

When you re-face instead of replacing the cabinets - you can save more than 60% on that.
