I Am Never Having My Baby
I went back to the Dr this am. I am 1cm and 50% effaced. Not too terribly exciting. Last week she stripped my membranes and I have not progressed at all since then. Baby is still sky high too. Good news is that my BP is waaaay down 124/78 so she took me off bed rest so I can start walking and try to get her to move. Her concern is that baby should be moving down by this point, and is not budging. I go back agian next Monday, but if I still have not progressed at all she said that we need to discuss C section. I asked about induction first, but she said that in a case like this when she isnt moving down by full term, the concern is that her head is too big and can't, so often times an induction will end up in a section. She again told me not to get a head of myself, we will evaluate in a week but that is where I am now. She knows that I really want a natural birth, so she is giving me some time, but she doesnt want to go beyond 41 weeks since she said that the chance of miscarriage greatly increases between weeks 41 and 42. Ironic, the total hippy child who hired a doula and had a midwife, might really have to end up with a section. Oh well!!!
Re: I Am Never Having My Baby
Glad to hear that your BP is back down and you can walk around and see if you can get her moving.
Come on out baby girl! Your NovemAunties are waiting to meet you!!
dang lady what the H!
I hope that you get to have the birth you wanted!
At least you're finally off bed rest and can go enjoy outside. Hope your moving around will get your baby girl ready to meet you so you can have the natural birth you want.
Aw sweetie, that sucks!
I'm sorry things aren't progressing yet. I hope that being able to walk and have more activity will get that baby moving south.
Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby...that is the goal. If that means you need more intervention in birth - then that is what's got to happen. I hope you get the chance to labor on your own - but if you don't just know that you are doing what is best to have a healthy baby in the end.
