Our trip to the zoo
Brian was meeting up with a friend tonight after work so I took the
girls to the zoo late this afternoon. I had Allison "tell" her dad all
about the trip when he came home. I told the story and had Allison fill
in keywords Here was the conversation
Me - ...And then we saw the monkeys in the building
Dad - Were they touching themselves? (we always get quite the show with those monkeys)
Allison - nods her yes
ME (laughing) - Nope, but we got quite the show with the mountain lions (Pumas)
Brian - (gives me a quizzical look)
Me - I bang my palm against my other palm a couple of times
Allison -starts doing what I'm doing
Brian - trying to keep a straight face - Were they clapping their hands?
Allison and (now Amelia) clapping he hands says yes.
Me - And did the daddy lion say "Meooooowwwww" (I'm howling like crazy)
Allison - laughing and howling
Brian is trying so hard not to laugh. I keep telling Brian we need to be more careful..these types of things are going to come back and bite us in the butt one of these days.

GV, do you know if the gardens, the zoo and the children's museum are doing their reciprocal membership this summer again? I thought I read somewhere that they were doing away with that, but I can't find it for the life of me. I thought you might know.
If you have a Children's Musuem membership then you can partake every month, if you don't have the GRCM membership than you can partake the month that your organization is participating
May - GRCM - FMG
June/July - GR Public and GRAM (can't remember what month)
Aug - Zoo
We went last week to the GRCM with our Gardens membership. It was a lifesaver because we were supposed to go to the zoo but it was PACKED. I think every school in the county sent a field trip that day. Allison bawled her eyes out when I said we were going to go inside.
I was standing my the case trying to get Allison to get moving (it was 10 minutes before close) and all of sudden I heard the screaming and I was like "Ohhh My!!. I think she left before he was finished because she ran away and he was still screaming for about five minutes.

I don't have any memberships (yet), but my bro and SIL have a family membership to the Gardens. Next year I'll probably get one too. :-)
