So what have you all been up to post-wedding? I know we have some babies on the way, some of you are getting ready for your HMs and some of us are just getting settled into married life etc.

Re: What Have You Been Up To?
I know! It has been dead! We moved into a new place a few weeks ago so we have been getting settled in. H is in school full-time and I work full-time and go to school part-time. So we're staying pretty busy.
We don't have any big plans for the summer. We're hoping to get away to the family cabin a couple of times at least.
Next big thing? Hmm. Maybe H graduating and job hunting, lol.
I don't really have any goals nor do I ever make them...
I'm a bore.
I think it's because we're not all in the same spots in life anymore. Now some of us are heading over to TB and are TTC while others of us are not looking to start families for a little while. Before, we were all getting response cards at the same time, planning seating, etc.
Summer plans: planning on visiting family down in the Hamptons, heading up to VT one weekend with my parents, etc. Just trying to enjoy the summer, compared to last year, now that we're settled and learn more of the area/get out more.
Don't really have any "next big thing" or "goals"... we're a boring married couple just taking everything as it comes.
I know I miss it too! I was thinking of starting a random Question of the Day on here to keep the convo going.....
For summer, I have a week off, then I'm spending 6 weeks working on my thesis and doing transcription for a proff, then I'm teaching Summer sessions 2. Then back to school!
We are counting down several things...we officially move in two weeks! Woohoo! And we booked our cruise for December...so we are counting down for that too!
We are counting down to our honeymoon, but it's not until August. A Mediterranean cruise. Neither DH or I have been to Europe or on a cruise. We are so excited! So we're both again working on getting in shape...it never seems to be end, first for the wedding dress now for the bikini! Plus I've heard everyone gains weight while on a cruise so I'm trying to plan ahead. We're going to leave from Barcelona so we're spending 2 days there, 12 days on the cruise and then back to the US. Can't wait. We're also hoping to start our family on this cruise
We're also working on our house. We've lived there together for about a year and half but DH and 2 guy roommates before that so trying to de-bachelor pad the house has been a work in progress. We would also like to sell our house next summer so just trying to get everything looking it's best inside and out. We don't know if we'll be able to sell it with the way home prices here in OR have dropped so much, but we'd really like to move closer to family.

Dumb Nest. I had my response all typed out and it said I had to re-register. Anyone else have this problem? I get it every few days when I try to post.

Summer plans:
Visiting my east-coast family. My H hasn't met most of them yet and we will be spending time at our family house off the coast of Maine. We are super excited! It's my favorite place on Earth because of all of the memories growing up. We also scattered my mom's ashes here, making it just that much more special.
Looking forward to:
Planning my BFF's baby shower. She's 26 weeks along and I think I'm more excited than she is.
Also looking forward to seeing H more often. He's working 13 hour days 6 days a week right now. He's in an industry that's all-or-nothing and when it comes in, the expectations are unrealistic. He loves what he does, which makes it worth the crazy times. At least he'll be done with it all by my birthday in June.
Goals:
Getting H on board with totally TTC. We are both ready, but he's a little hesitant based upon our finances. The kids in our life make us so happy and we are both ready to begin. I am pushing for sooner based upon our already diagnosed need for IF treatments (I found out at 16/17 that I would have a very hard time getting and staying pregnant).
I know we are all at different places, but I agree with BigVoice that we should have a question of the day, polls, open letters etc. or something to keep this board going!
Right now we are working on getting settled into our new place! We still need more furniture and I have some big plans for DIY projects! Work has been really busy for me, so I am just trying to get back in the swing of things.
We don't do anything in the summer because the CFL season runs from June to November. I do have a trip planned with my best friend that lives in Calgary to meet in Banff (the Rockies) for a few days over Canada Day (July 1st), looking forward to a girl's weekend!
My next big countdown is my trip back east to Ontario in October, H has a game in his hometown so my whole family is driving the 9 hours from NH so we can celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving (Columbus Day) together with his family too.
Our next big goal is to purchase a house. Not sure if it will be in Edmonton, or in Ontario. Our plan is to eventually move back to Toronto, I want to be closer to family!

Do you have any plans this summer? We have two weddings to go to, my sister graduates high school, running a 5k in June, trip to NYC (see below)
What is the next big thing you are counting down for? Our trip to NYC! My wedding gift to DH was tickets to a Yankees game for July 4th. We're very excited!
What are some of your goals for the next year? Our next big thing that we're doing is getting a house, and hoping that DH can get a job closer to home, so we can actually see each other during the week instead of just weekends.

Europe was hands down the BEST trip I have ever gone on in my life (I went to Spain and France, including Barcelona. GORGEOUS!!!!)! Our cruise was definitely the second best and you get to put them both together! lol And yes, you will gain weight but DH and I countered that by walking everywhere on the ship instead of taking the elevator. Oh, and you can take a cooler on board with you so if you guys drink, just put some vodka in water bottles because the drinks onboard are EXPENSIVE!!!
Anywho, to answer the questions, my summer will be spent at a buttload of weddings.And our goal for the year, obviously, is either finding a rent house or getting the apartment and our lives ready for baby and the grandmas!
I miss the busy board on TK too! And I also agree with doing some open letters and QOD's, I think it will definitely liven up this board some!
Our plans for the summer are to get settled into our new place. We're renting a house and in the process of fixing it up right now. So hopefully we will be totally moved in by the end of this month! DH and I definitely want a few weekend trips. We plan on going tubing with a group of friends in June, then it's K's 1st birthday June 15th. My b-day is July 12th and L's b-day is July 22nd...so plenty b-days' this summer to keep up with!
The nest big thing we are counting down for, right now is moving into our house. Then it will be my birthday. We are planning on going to Biloxi, Mississippi to go to the casino's and the beach for a relaxing weekend getaway.
Some goals are for DH to finish paramedic school, me to figure out what I want to do and either get a job or go back to school. Hopefully I will be able to figure out the latter sooner, rather than later!

Do you have any plans this summer? We have 4 weddings to go to, a week at the beach, and then probably spending many weekends at my parents beach house.
What is the next big thing you are counting down for? Baby's arrival! But even closer is the end of the first trimester so I don't have to hide it anymore.

I had been doing a research project on endangered loggerhead sea turtles for the past four summers and this years it's expanded to multiple islands and implementing new management strategies we've developed. That will keep me busy!
And our honeymoon in June!

Honeymoon! 7 days of no phone, no computer, no interruptions!
What are some of your goals for the next year?
To really do well in grad school, maybe find a house and just enjoy life!
Do you have any plans this summer?
a lot of work...H and I developed a new line, and we need this summer to aggressively market it...sort of a race against the clock cause we're short on cash in the business and need to have a strong selling season from August to November.
this means going to some events around the country to promote it...nowhere totally exciting, but necessary.
helping my mom get her house ready for sale...they live in Florida full time now and need to unload their NJ house
maybe a couple day trips thrown in...I've never been to Coney Island and H thinks I've been a deprived child!

hmmm.....our summer goals are pretty big...so I'd like to get thru those.
as for fun stuff, my birthday is next weekend, so H is taking me up to New England for the weekend

-get this new business off the ground
-hopefully get our house sold! then we can go with cash in ou sweaty little palms and buy something in Florida
Seems like we are busier now then we were when were wedding planning.
Do you have any plans this summer? We are planning to visit DH's family in Alabama and Georgia. Im excited I've never been on a plane.

Post wedding has been a bit hectic...we've had some family illnesses so been making plenty of trips to the hospital and helping out. And ofcourse working.
We plan to take a mini moon in June to San Diego. Our big honeymoon trip is going to have to wait, but we really need some time to ourselves. And maybe a trip or 2 to the lake.
Counting down to the San Diego trip. And we're hoping to take a cruise in the spring for our 1 year anniversary. I start school again in the fall, so Im looking forward to that!

What have you been up to post-wedding?
Trying to finish school! I have two days of class and two days of finals left, plus a paper I need to finish writing, and then I graduate! I'm so excited! Of course, after tonight's little stumble I posted about above, I'm not sure I'm going to get to wear the cute heels I wanted to...
Do you have any plans this summer?
Finding a job is the biggest thing on the list, so we can pay off the credit card. Then finding a house -- yay!

My graduation -- and then our honeymoon!!!
What are some of your goals for the next year?
Lose some weight, pay off the credit card, and buy our first house! =]
Ugh, been crazy busy. Had to cancel our mini-moon that would've been last weekend because of all the stuff going on at work. I was pretty disappointed about that, but I did get a little promotion, so all is not lost *heh*.
Do you have any plans this summer?
DH surprised me with a new plan for a mini-moon! We're going to go to Disneyland for Memorial Day weekend. Neither of us have been in ages and we're really looking forward to it.
As for the rest of the summer, I want to get some improvements done around the house. I think our little patio area is going to be the first priority.
What is the next big thing you are counting down for?
Our real honeymoon/first anniversary celebration next spring - a Caribbean cruise!
What are some of your goals for the next year?
Getting some rooms in the house done - especially the computer room, it's a veritable disaster.
