**blondie and freeburger**
Is this the
Love and Logic Book you are talking about, or is it something else? I want to get it too, but want to make sure it's the same one that I've heard so many people talk about using. There are a few versions. Thx.
Re: **blondie and freeburger**
This is the one I have:
http://www.amazon.com/Love-Logic-Magic-Early-Childhood/dp/1930429002/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273591000&sr=1-1
I think that is the main one, yes. I have the Early Childhood edition for 6months to 6 years I think.
What, you mean I can't discipline my three month old? Bwahaha. OK, I was looking at the wrong book, I'm glad I asked, b/c I'm making a list of useful resources.
Blondie - is this the other one you were telling me about that you liked?
Yep, that's it. And this one is essential as well. Both of those are my favorite sleep books to date. We already talked about your "philosophy" (or what it will be) and I think both of these are good reads for you.
KerCo, I HIGHLY recommend Happiest Baby on the Block.

The calming methods in this book saved my sanity when Ben was a newborn, borderline colicky and just a terrible sleeper in general. I wish I had read it sooner. Some of it is (mostly) common sense, but it really works!
I will ditto this as well, but don't buy the book. You can watch the DVD that we have at home. It's better than the book, because you get to watch him in action
Oh yes that book was excellent too. I think all new moms should read it just for the information on how babies sleep!
We ended up sleep training using the Sleep Easy solution. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done, but Ben was a terrible sleeper. I'm talking up 8-12 times a night. I felt terrible, being a SAHM and forcing my kid to CIO, but I think part of me needing him to sleep better at night was that I never got a break. Ever. And the difference in Ben is night and day. He was always SO tired and crabby because he never slept more than an hour or two at a time.
I would have LOVED advice from those who had been through it!
Gah! That's my 3rd favorite book. I actually liked that most when he was a lot older. CIO gets a bad name, but I think that there is a vast difference between CIO ie: leave the baby to fall asleep from being so tired, and CIO ie: teaching your child soothing techniques, checking in on them, and doing it with the intent of helping them learn to fall asleep on their own. That's why I loved the Baby Whisperer and HSHHC, because I felt like they were tools to help me understand how babies sleep, and the cues that are associated therein.
I am glad to hear that Ben is such a great sleeper now!!
I have the DVD too! My dad got a copy of it through work somehow and passed it on. I haven't watched it yet, but plan to.
Thanks again for the input, chicas.
