Help Dani get that baby out . . .
I thought it might be fun to share old wives tales you've heard for inducing labor. I'm sure there's some weird ones out there that Dani might want to check with her doctor before trying, but most of them are probably harmless.
Spicy food!
Re: Help Dani get that baby out . . .
Depending on who you ask, castor oil either helps or just makes you have to go to the bathroom all day long.
I've heard going for long walks helps
Twink, that just made me really hungry.
Haha! Thanks! I asked my Dr and she said sex, walks and nipple stimulation. Of course DH worked a 13 hr day and when he walked in the door and I asked him to have sex with me he just looked at me like I was out of my mind. He promptly layed down on the couch and fell asleep.
I have been drinking the raspberry red leaf tea, not willing to go to the castor oil route. I have also heard that is NOT pleasant. My doula said to use evening primrose oil caplets as a vaginal supository so I asked my Dr about it. I got a serious side eye. She told me that it wouldn't hurt anything, but I could probably do other things with my money than literally shove it up my cooch. Spicy food, I know that I need to get on this one, but I have such bad heartburn, it hurts to think about.
I love your OB . . . that was funny!
Lol - ditto!
LOL! That should also give you heartburn!
You could my tried and true labor plan - refuse to change out of a robe for 3 days straight or anything but peanut butter cookies and twizzlers. Worked for me!
Poor DH would walk in every night and sigh because I was literally wearing the same blue robe over and over again. I showered, but...thats it. Shower, Robe, Teeth Brush, Cookie.
There are supposed to be pressure points on your feet that will start labor!
Ditto on pp...sex, cleaning, walking, spicy foods. Maybe jumping on a trampoline would give the baby a little nudge? ;o)
Pressure points on your ankles, hands, calves, and a couple other places.
I did the spicy food (HOT WINGS) and I SWEAR as soon as it reached her she wasn't happy and contractions kicked in HARD CORE!
Looks like we've both heard about Scalini's Eggplant Parmigiana Legend!
