DH got the final "ok" from the school and set a start date for the end of the month. Yesterday he turned in his resignation, and is all set to head out there in a few weeks... we talked last night and decided that I should talk to my boss today to let him know whats going on and that I'm leaving.
I have been waiting for sooooo long for us to get the chance to move out there, and have been waiting over a week to tell my boss that we're moving... but now that I am in the position to actually TELL him - I am terrified!!!
I know that he will be great about it, and the guys I work with will all be supportive... but I'm literally shaking as I type this! As much as I complain about my job - I do love it and I don't like the fact I'm leaving the guys.
I just need to grow a pair and get it over with. Any tips on how to calm myself the heck down?! LOL... if you read this whole thing... this is for you:
Re: Harder than I thought...
When you are done, can I borrow that set?!?!?! LOL... i have barely gotten my offer and I'm already dreading giving my notice!
Best of luck girl..this is the BEST thing for you and DH.
::: Hugs ::: As hard as it seems, you'll be fine Sarah! From talking with you before and previous blog updates, you work with a great group of people and as sad as they may be to see you go, they will all wish nothing but the best for you!!!
You're entering into another path in your journey of Marriage!! How awesome! Good luck!!

I've seen other people in your situation - and they have been a complete wreck before, but then it never goes as bad as they think so they can relax after :-) They way I see it - this is a major thing for you yes, but people come and go from jobs all of the time. It's to be expected that people will not stay in a company forever.
I don't know if that helped calm you or not, but good luck!!
When I left my previous job, which was an absolutely horrible job that I dreamed hourly about leaving, it was so hard and I almost broke down right when I walked in to tell my boss. After I got started though a weight lifted off my shoulders and I was so excited. My old boss handled it pretty well, even though we really didn't get along and wished me well.
Good luck, such an exciting time for you and DH!!!
Aaah thank you ladies. I'm feeling better about it! I'm going to set up a time this afternoon to talk with him. Now I'm trying to decide how to start the conversation... LOL
I want to start by saying "So DH got an amazing job offer..." (because boss knows that DH has been miserable in his job and has been looking)
Dad suggests to start by saying "You know I love this job, and you guys are the best..." ...... and then boss will immediately know what I'm about to say.
Decisions decisions. lol. I will let you all know how it goes!!!!
Haha thanks Samantha!!
AW CRAP!!!!!!!
Boss just told me he is out for the rest of the afternoon in meetings downtown. 2 minutes after I sent the "lets chat this afternoon" email. So... first thing tomorrow AM.
Thanks for the advice too - I'm going with the "DH got an offer" approach... then I'll do the whole "you know I love you guys" thing. I just have to WAIT another day. Sheesh.
