I get mother of the year award - I feel like I have hardly taken any pictures of T since I've been working.  :-(

Anyway, he is getting huge.  His 4 month check-up is on Monday.   I am looking forward to finding out how much he weighs and how long he is.  He had a rough week last week but has been sleeping pretty good since Saturday night.  Party!!!  He squeals and talks all the time.  So fun to watch and listen to.  He also LOVES to stand up.  I am buying him an exersaucer today -  I should have already had one for him.

  • Logan is busy busy busy! He eats so much. He had a full piece of pizza for dinner the other night, plus some mellon - he ate more the DH and I! He is signing all the time.  He is starting to mimick our words, the other day he said ja pah - juice please. It was so cute. He walks if you hold his hands, or if he is behind something he can push.

We are working on planning his birthday party - only a few weeks away, I can't believe my baby is almost 1.

  • Molly he is getting so big and SUCH a cutie! Ben LOVED his Jumperoo, I highly recommend it (Fisher Price Precious Planet).  I was so sad when he abandoned it and started crawling lol. (And if you want you are welcome to borrow it!)

Ben is a total spaz - he finds the few things he is not allowed to do and does it repeatedly (push buttons on the TV, crawl on the gross dog bed, pull the cats' tails).  I spend half of my day redirecting and trying to distract him, it is exhausting.  But he is trying SO hard to talk - he gets a serious face and you can tell his mind is just working so hard to try and form the words.  I can't imagine how frustrating that must be!

  • I've only got 7 weeks left.  Eek!  My baby shower was 2 Saturdays ago, and we got quite a bit.  Right now we're waiting on the dresser my grandma bought for us.  I'm anxious to get it and put all his clothes away.  Instead they are in a big gift bag all washed and ready for him!

I saw Dr. Klyn yesterday.  Everything is good, except that I'm measuring so much ahead.  Yesterday I was measuring 37 weeks at only 33.  So I'll have to have a growth u/s at some point to see how big he really is.  Neither H nor I were big babies, so he shouldn't be that big!

Except for the car seat he could come home today.  So that's reassuring.  We're ordering our car seat sometime.  I'm just hoping it doesn't take as long as the dresser seems to be.

  • Things are going well for me. Hanging in there.  My back and hip feel great today.  Yesterday was a little rough after helping TH put the dresser and crib together and washing all the windows inside and out in the nursery on Sunday.  Today I feel like a new person.

I have to retake my glucose test on Friday.  I get to take the four hour one this time.  Boo.  Wish me luck that I pass!

The nursery is coming together.  I still don't have a glider/chair, but I have a lot of other stuff and some decor, so I need to put it all together.

I keep having people tell me I look big, so I wonder if I'm mesuring ahead too, if I'm just a cow, or if people are asshats.  Hmm, don't know.  I don't have another doc appt until the last week in May, then I'm on the two week appt schedule.  Yikes.  I'm getting nervous!  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone.  It has just flown by.

I'm going to go with people are asshats.  Why would anyone say that you look big?

I don't know why people say stuff like that.  The first time it happened, I didn't care, but when four different people said something in two days, it hurt my feelings.  MH came home from work one day, and I was crying about it.  Normally I have t-h-i-c-k skin, but my hormones make me a lot more sensitive now.  Sometimes I wish I could just stay home and not see any of them.  Even if I am big, there's really no reason to make me feel bad about it, ya know.  I'd been feeling good about myself, feeling great overall, etc. and it kind of took the wind out of my sails.

Do you think that its just surprising to people to see you with a (normal sized) pregnancy belly and maybe that's why they're making the comments?  I mean, you've always been a small person, so seeing a 28 week baby bump on you may be a little surprising, you know?  So thus they think you look "big" compared to, say, a year ago when there wasn't another human being growing inside of you.

Regardless, based on the pictures you posted, you look awesome, so try not to worry about it.  Some people just don't have much tact.

I agree with what Kasa said, too.  I think people really mean you have a cute bump, but there is just no good way to take "you look big."  I also think there is no right comment to make to a pg lady regarding size.  My CW barely showed for a very long time and people would always comment on how small she was.  She hated that.  People should just say "You look great/fabulous/wonderful" and refrain from rubbing your belly.  Smile

Worst case, you can borrow my infant one just in case you needed one before yours came in.

  • Chiming in late here.

Willa's tadpole arrived in the mail yesterday.  She's named it Princess Fiona (because when it turns into a frog, she'll be green).  Willa's checked on Princess Fiona a kazillion times to see if her legs are coming yet.  She's also saying "metamorphisis" like it's no big deal.  We are relieved to have PF finally join us.  I kept her impending arrivial under wraps until I got the shipping confirmation from the company.  Then I told her.  For about 3 days straight, Willa filled any silence with her sing-songy mantra of, "I want a frog.  I love frogs."

Henry continues to develop skills that will, in the future, get him out of any jam.  You know in those endearing Brittish romance movie when (pre-scandal) Hugh Grant made the leading lady crazy-mad, but then he's smile and she'd melt?  That's Henry.  Today he spent 20 seconds taking out every board game we own, recarpeted the floor with Candy Land cards and Chutes and Ladders people.  When I came in the room and sat down to survey the disaster, he took both of my cheeks in his hands, looked me in the eyes and said, " Hen-we sor-we."  And then started singing the cleanup song while picking up the mess.

KerCo, it seems people who are not incubating babies don't know the right thing to say.  I am certain that they intend "you're big" as a comment that surely the baby is happily and healthily growing, and you're doing a great job nourishing him/her.

I can't believe how big "our" babies are getting here.  Sigh.
