I have to make a trifle for a dinner we are going to tomorrow night. If I make it tonight will it stay okay until tomorrow? I mean I don't want the cake to get all soggy and the colors from the fruit to bleed. Would it be okay to make it tonight or should I put it together on my lunch break tomorrow?
Re: calling all bakers...
I have never made a trifle before, but I think most fruit will likely bleed if left overnight.
I would suggest putting it tomorrow to be safe, but hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.
You could probably get away with making it tonight and it would be okay.
But if you have time, it would probably be better to prepare all of the componants tonight, and then wait until tomorrow to assemble it.
I'd bake the cake and prep the fruit and filling, but assemble tomorrow otherwise it will be soggy.
YUM!
Ditto this!
double ditto this!
Even better!
