Poll about chocolate bars.

This is important.  Say you buy a bar of chocolate. How quickly is it consumed?

Re: Poll about chocolate bars.

  • A little while ago, DH gave me a Kit-Kat.  It was gone in about 7.6 seconds.

  • Only 1 Kit Kat? Doesn't he know you're eating for 3?
  • It depends on the candy bar.  Normally the last option applies to me, but in the event I do purchase a Hershey Milk Chocolate bar then I eat it row by row.  In the event a Godiva Dark Chocolate Raspberry bar comes into my possession, I eat it a square at a time.
  • I'm with Elissaann---at least I'm with her for our favorite chocolate bar--Godiva dark chocolate with raspberry filling.  In which case, I do take the time to savor it.  Goodness gracious, that thing is GOOD.  Thankfully, I don't shop many places that carry them, so the temptation is few and far between.

However, if its something like a Snickers bar, Milky Way, Take 5--when I do eat them, they are gone in 3.5 seconds and I'm not eating for 3 like VC!  :)  (BTW, Big Congratulations--I must have missed your announcement!!)

The Good Stuff, I do try to take the time and savor and tend to eat it square by square.  I am no model of discipline though.  Wink

  • If there is chocolate in my line of sight I eat it. Immediately.

As a matter of fact this post reminded me that I had been thinking about making a chocolate cobbler. I think I'll go do that now.

  • I try to savor the taste. . but it can be rare. Honestly it depends on how large the chocolate bar is.

BTW. . thanks, now I'd like some, but don't have any :(

We do have two Cadbury eggs left though :)

  • Do Lindor Truffles fit this category?  I got a bag yesterday and I ate like 6 last night.  OMG those things are like a little party in my mouth.

  • While Lindor Truffles are indeed tasty, they aren't a 100% substitute. The exterior hard part of the milk chocolate ones is the same chocolate as the Lindt bar but the interior is different (not bad, just different). Plus the only time we have them is when my parents give us the variety pack from a warehouse store and so DH gets mad that I pick out all the milk chocolate ones and leave the white chocolate, peanut butter, and super super dark chocolate ones. I want to know what person actually gets full use out of a vareity pack, does anyone truly like all these kinds?
  • We'd get pretty close Terp.  I would eat the dark chocolate, DH would eat the white and the PB, we'd just need someone to eat the milk--which would be a pretty easy thing to do, I'd imagine.
  • I could just come over and take care of that for you.
  • it is a rare occasion that I buy a whole bar.... we normally buy bags of the minis and keep them in jars on our coffee table.... I get one at the end of the day, if I've eaten well ..... ok sometimes two....
