ipod music recommendations

I've taken up running at my local gym so I'm looking for good upbeat songs to keep me motivated.  What are your workout must-haves?

Re: ipod music recommendations

  • I'm a weirdo and I actually find music while running to be quite distracting & irritating, lol. Stick out tongue

But I have several friends who are normal and like music in the background while running. they listen to fast, upbeat music most of the time, and it's everything from pop - rock - rap, as long as it has a quick beat. One of my friends like to listen to Survivor by Destiny's Child towards the end of her run. lol. Some others that come to mind are Gwen Stefani, Outkast, & Prodigy.

  • I am usually for watching tv when I work out on my elliptical...but on the occasion I do run outside I pretty much rock Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album.

  • Kesha, Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Rihanna, the Ting Tings, Britney Spears,...
  • I actually downloaded PodRunner Intervals from iTunes (podcasts) & listen to that. It's free to download. You are supposed to run to the beat (it's like techno music) and they have different series. I normally do the 5k one.
  • Anything by Black Eyed Peas will get you moving!
    Anniversary
  • I loveeee music and just downloaded the Kevin Rudolf CD, I really l like it and it has fun upbeat songs!
  • Right now I'm focusing on distance training and am loving R&B/ hip hop from around '00- LLCoolJ, Jay Z, Pharrell and the Neptunes, Mya, Ludacris, ODB and Nelly.

I have all different types depending on the training and my mood- what sort of music do you like?
