LOST...I'm lost. (spoilers)
Last night's episode gets a big "huh?" from me.
How did the [homicidal] Island mother get to the Island? Who told her what the light is? And what is the light again? I guess the Island is some kind of Eden? Why couldn't Jacob see the dead mother? Did the Island mother kill all the people at the camp or did Jacob? Did anyone follow the whole underground wheel discussion at all? Obviously it gets built and it works becuase that's how Ben (and Jacob too?) got on and off the Island. I guess the man in black is still able to build it even though he's smoke. ::scratches head and gets more coffee to think::

Yeah, I was really hoping to get more answers. Or SOMETHING at least. They did answer some big questions though:
- How did MiB turn into the smoke monster?
- Why is Jacob in charge of the island?
- How/when did Jacob and MiB get there?
- Why does MiB want to kill Jacob?
- Why does MiB want to get off the island?
- Why is MiB evil?
- Who are the "Adam and Eve" skeletons in the cave? (I TOTALLY thought they were going to be a time-traveled Rose and Bernard.)
- Why does MiB's dagger have Romulus and Remus and the she-wolf on it?
- Who built the wells?
- Is Jacob good?
When you look at it that way, they did answer quite a bit. However, there are infinitely more answers out there that now I'm realizing we'll never know. Hopefully since they added a half-hour to the finale, they'll take that opportunity to expound on these.

Bleh.
Only 2 episodes left and I feel like we're nowhere. Last nights episode was just frustrating. And adding to the questions already asked - how is Jacob able to so easily leave the island later? And what the heck is that light and does Jacob even know what it is? And how does the MiB come back if he's dead? And how can Jacob see him when he can't see dead people? Or can he after he sent his brother into the light? Argh.
I did like being able to figure out though that the little boy Flocke keeps seeing is Jacob as a child. Other than that though, I got nothing.
I missed the first 20 minutes or so, sounds like they were pretty packed! I agree, with only 2 episodes left, they are really getting down to the last minute here!
I saw on another spoiler that she was supposed to be a "mother earth" type character - so my take was that she handed the torch to her son, and the plane crash was to get a candidate to take Jacob's place. Ok, so now we know that Jacob created/released the smoke monster of his brother - AND found the body, so all those OTHER flashbacks were the smoke monster turning into brother/littlejacob/locke/john'sdad? or basically, whoever that person needs to see?
And REALLY on the Negative Capability?! Dude, they've been saying we'll get answers - we don't WANT to have unresolved issues!
I don't think so. Some of the appearances were the smoke monster (Yemi, Christian, in at least some instances though not necessarily all), some were dead people that appeared to certain people who have the ability to see dead people (like hurley), and some are still unexplained (Walt, kid jacob, Kate's horse, etc).
