Good News

My super cool cousin and his awesome wife just announced they are expecting their first baby together.  (She has 2 children from a previous relationship, he has 1 from his previous marriage.)

This is great news besides the normal stuff.

1)  My cousin was always the "nice" guy that got run over.  Ever since he married Jamie, he has been the happiest man in the universe.  He is an officer in the Army and she is the perfect Army wife . . . they have spent almost 2 years living apart - - - her at the base in Germany, him in Iraq.  They are finally stateside together and apparently loving it.

2)  After having 2 cool kids with her ex, Jamie had her tubes tied.  My cousin and she secretly had the procedure reversed and were lucky enough that it was successful.

3)  Jamie's ex was a dirtbag.  He sucked when it came to parenting, partnering, etc.  I'm stoked that she gets to have someone as wonderful as Jason to love her and this baby . . . I know this pregnancy will be a much happier experience for her.

I'm really excited that my cousin and I will have children the same age difference as he and I are . . . we grew up VERY close . . . like siblings . . . and I am hoping our children will have a special friendship the way we do.

I love baby news, but this one really makes me burst with happiness.  I couldn't think of two better people to have a baby, especially because they have a great marriage and are really good parents.  :)
