I know this is terrible, but I just had to tell someone. I just saw this status update on Facebook. Not a good friend of mine, I used to date her older brother when I was in High School.
I can't decide if its sad/amazing....I have been enrolled in 5 different colleges/universities. (Granted 2 were when I was in high school getting dual credit) I have 2 degree's already & now I am planning on attending another University and starting classes this summer to get another degree completely different...I think I have too many passions

Really?! "degree's"?? Your 5 different colleges didn't teach you the rules of possession?

Re: I'm a Mean Girl...
Yea but she works as a waitress right now. There's such a thing as too much education.
And WTF is this? Apparently none of her passions involved proper grammar!
The academic advisor inside of me is crying. Someone needs to save this girl from herself. She needs to settle. Use one of those degrees to get a job and make some money. You don't need a degree in everything you're interested in.
I don't even want to know what kind of student loans she has, and I would bet that the reason she keeps going back to school is to defer payments.
Sorry. end rant. I've worked with a lot of students like this and it really pisses me off.
I didn't even see that one!!
THIS! I have a student who has "timed out" twice because he has been in college here for so long. He is annoying as crap and just doesn't want to get a job/pay back his loans....he makes me so mad, and he smells.
The smelly ones are the wooorst.
It's so hard to advise a student and be confident that they'll follow through when they can't seem to bathe themselves.
Don't feel bad about being mean. I think the same thing about people who can't do they're/their/there or your/you're correctly. Drives me CRAZY! I think that they cover that one in elementary school.
I can see going to school for something, getting into the real world and then your path leads you to something else and you go back to be better at that new found thing... but still. That is a lot of time wasted!
This is one of the many reasons I'm glad I'm no longer a Fin Aid advisor. That and lice...students with lice freaked me out.
You should have read the lovely scholarship essays I read today. It was full of these errors (especially on the essays of the Natl Honor Soc members!).
