Newbie Looking for Quiet Restaurants

Hi, Boston ladies!

I don't post on this board, but I was hoping some of you would have some suggestions for good restaurants in Boston (or Cambridge/Somerville or anywhere accessible on the T) that are great but relatively quiet.  It's been a very hectic, stressful couple weeks for DH and I, and we would love to have a quiet, romantic dinner this weekend, but everywhere we usually go is really loud!  The only cuisines that are out are Thai and Japanese.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Re: Newbie Looking for Quiet Restaurants

  • I like EVOO for a quiet, but delicious dinner out.
  • We did dinner at Grotto a few weeks ago and it was a small, intimate and pretty quiet place. I can't wait to go back!

Thanks - these both look great!  Normally we don't mind the bustling, loud restaurants, but we are just in the mood for something more relaxed where we don't have to yell across the table at each other!

  • Salts in Cambridge. Small, delicious food, not too stuffy an atmosphere.  I can't wait for an excuse to go back there (and maybe have the honey lavendar whole roast duck again :)).

Have a great night out, and feel free to join in the board more often!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Thanks!  I'd love to chat with other Boston girls more often, so hopefully I'll be around more!
