Wellness Wednesday Check-In

What have been your successes or challenges this week with diet, exercise, mental wellbeing, etc.??

     This week I have successfully managed to stay under 1200 calories each day as well as get in 30 minutes of cardio. I am hoping to figure out a way to get my exercise in for the day although I have something else scheduled for the evening. Maybe thinking of doing the 30 day shred?

  • Diet- We ate out 7 times in the last week, so that definitely has been helping the waste line, but I did make pretty good decisions when we were eating out.  This week I'm focusing on counting my points and trying to make good decisions while travelling this weekend.

    Exercise- I did walk Rudy a few times around the neighborhod.  I'm hoping to be able to increase my walks this week so I can start running soon!

    Mental Wellbeing-  I was surprised to discover I am down a dress size (and looking fabulous)!  Also, I got 5 of these smaller dresses at 75% off!  Woohoo!

  • These past three weeks with DH coming home and now being home has completely thrown me off. I had been working out 5 days a week, but lately it's only been once or twice. Hopefully, we'll get back into a routine soon.

    I'm also hoping to start a spin class on Thursdays because I've been in a workout funk. I need to mix it up a bit.

  • Doing weight watchers has been great so far.... although Mothers Day totally thew me off.... I used up 1/2 my extra points for the week just on our lunch that day... eek! I've been staying in the gym at least 45 mins, instead of my normal 30.... so far I *think* I'm down about 4lbs.... possibly more, but I never did my initial weigh in... I was down 2lbs just last week.... hoping to be down 2 more on Sunday :-)
  • I've had a few "off" weeks as far as exercise so I'm trying to get back on the ball. So far, this week has gone well. On Sunday DH & I shot some hoops, went rollerblading, and were overall just active all day. Monday, I did the 30 day shred, used the bike for 10 minutes, and went on a 30 minute walk w/ hubby and the dog. Yesterday, I went on a 40 minute run. Today I'm hoping to do 20 minutes of biking & the 30 day shred. As usual, my eating has been terrible. Oh wells.
  • Diet:  I've been "better" with food (having big healthy breakfasts and bringing my own lunch) but the beer intake has been a bit much lately.  Not that I've been a total lush, but I really shouldn't be drinking one every night at home with DH.  

    Fitness:  I've been totally slack.  The only activity I can really claim was the garden work on Sunday.  Work has been crazy and I've been bringing stuff home which has really cut into what would normally be workout time.  I think I just need to quit my job so I can exercise :) 

    Mentally:  I flip flop between feeling awesome about myself and feeling in a funk.  A lot of it is just frustration with my job and lack of free time to really be active.  I worked until 5:30 last night, came home and ate, and then worked until 11.  Quite depressing.

    ... Well wasn't that a total downer ;)  My help was just hired and is starting the 28th, so I'm hoping things start to sound a lot more positive soon!

  • Oh, i forgot to add that I finallybought new pants this past weekend b/c all my old pants were way too tight and made me feel miserable. Hello, red flag!
  • Due to my insurance changing I have been putting off making a dentist appoint (I also want to change dentists, so some research was required). I finally called today. Of course by the time I called they were closed. However at least I have the research done and I plan to call tomorrow.
