Opinions on album

Hi all,

I made a wedding album for our parents months ago, but I am finally getting around to designing one for DH and myself. I was originally planning on doing a scrapbook instead of an album so I could include our invitation, program, guest book cards, speeches, etc., but I liked how the one for our parents turned out so much that I decided I want to use Picaboo for ours too. I tried to include as many of those things as possible while still attempting to make it look nice and not be a million pages.

I think I'm finally fairly happy with it, but I need some fresh eyes to take a look! You can see it at the link below. Are there any parts that seem out of place? Any pages that are choppy or don't flow well?

Thanks for your input!

Re: Opinions on album

  • Page 15 looks like some of your "getting ready" shots, but it comes after some formal pics of your family and BP.  Didn't you get ready before that?  I would move that page... unless that's the order things happened.

Other than that, it looks really nice!  Great job!

T.K. and I spent half an hour before the ceremony but after the group photos in separate rooms (our officiant insisted on it, and it was nice to have that feeling of looking forward to seeing my groom even if we hadn't been apart all day). Page 15 shows photos taken during that time of my sister putting on my veil. I'm not really happy with the layout of that page, so I suspect I'll change it before I order the album. Thanks for taking a look!

  • That looks awesome. I agree that page 15 seems a bit out of place, maybe it's just the background photo behind it is bright compared to everything that comes before it. Did you put your veil on right before the ceremony, because if so, that makes total sense. Is there a way to add a page and make it a 2 page spread? I know that would make the book a tad more expensive. I love the pictures in front of the milennium beam!

I did our parents/grandparents albums using a site like that and also wanted to scrapbook our wedding but we got buy one get one free coupons so we ended up getting one for ourselves and them I'm going to scrapbook it also because I only used pro pics for the album and I want non-pro for my scrapbook also.

I absolutely love it!  It's beautiful.

Page 15 wasn't out of place to me at all - possibly because I read this thread first and was expecting something jarring?  I'm not sure, but especially given your explanation, it was fine!

    Thanks ladies!

As much as I liked including the photo of my ceremony program, I agree that it was too bright for that spot in the album. How's this version of page 15 instead? I tried to make it a little darker and less cluttered.
