Whole Foods- Anyone tried their rotisserie chicken?

Just wondering... is it good? Can I ge the same quality at Kroger or Sam's?

Re: Whole Foods- Anyone tried their rotisserie chicken?

  • I can't speak for Whole Foods.  Between Sam's and Kroger's I notice very little difference in terms of taste.  BUT... Sam's chicken is much bigger; usually DH and I get 2 meals out of it.  With Kroger's, the chicken just isn't as big and you pay the same amount at both Kroger and Sam's (or close to it...  maybe even more at Kroger).

  • i dont typically buy it from Whole foods, nothing against it, but just havent, but I can tell you they are cooked in the exact same equipment. Cant be much of a difference.
  • My guess at the biggest difference is whole foods probably use organic chicken.

I have noticed a huge difference between the quality of organic chicken vs. non-organic chicken from the supermarket.  I would just get the Whole Foods one and see if you like it better.

I second this. I think you can really tell the difference between the two. You can on most meats, but chicken seems to be the most prominent difference. Not sure if the cost is really that different, but I would say try it! You can always pick up yummy sides they have in their hot bar to go with it.
