One Month ...

Hi Ladies, there is one month left to our wedding.

Any advice for me on how to keep sane and actually enjoy the moment?

At this point I am so annoyed with a the little details that I just want it over as soon as possible.

Re: One Month ...

  • At first I had you mixed up with DR Ash and I was thinking to myself "WTH? This woman just had a baby and she is thinking about wedding planning? How is that possible?"

To answer your question, try to look at the big picture. Take a weekend or at least a night off from wedding stuff. Go out on a date or do stuff with FI and don't have any wedding talk, just give yourself time to enjoy each other and remember why you are getting married in the first place.

My other piece of advice is - delegate!

  • I would sit down and write a plan as to what you need to do each week, day, etc...  Then you will know what needs to get done when...  And you can delegate, take nights off, etc...

    Booze??

LOL I'm writing that one down for when it gets closer to mine.

I'd suggest going to the spa! Take a full day of no wedding planning and relax. Take a drive somewhere

  • The spa is a great idea. I did that with a friend a few days before the wedding (got pedicures and a facial) and it was so relaxing.
  • How exciting!

I found it really helpful to have somewhere to write things down whenever they popped into my head. Personally, when I get things on paper, I effectively get them out of my head, and that helped me to relax.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions :)

One of my good friends bought me a 1 hour massage for my bridal shower so I am going to book that the night before the wedding.

This wedding planning was going really well until my caterer and decor (same company) went bankrupt a couple weeks ago. Oh and my band cancelled a couple days ago. I have found replacements just not as good as the originals.

I am going to work on schedule today. Thanks for all the advice.
