(Yes, I'm coming off my period, so I'm a bit moodier than usual.)
I was debating running to a grocery store during lunch. It's a stretch to get there and back, but I thought "I can get there and back, build a salad (so I eat healthy and can control what I eat), pick up the milk & dish soap we need, and all's good."
Except there's road construction. The entire f-ing road leading up to it is closed. Meaning I'd have to tack on at least another 15-20 minutes driving to get there. Not possible.
Which leaves me to my options for lunch: Subway or Wendy's. I really do not want Subway. But I'm tired of Wendy's Chicken BLT salad... it's the only thing I seem to eat when I have to run out for lunch because I can customize it, it's still decent tasting, keeps me satisfied for a little while, and is decent for calories.
Now I'm REALLY cranky because it's nearly lunchtime and I can't find food to eat. There's Panera but their salads are NOT good for you, really, and it's a beyotch to get in and out of the one here. I don't really want a sandwich, and their soup is outrageously high in sodium. ![]()
I hate not having food... it makes me cranky to begin with.
Re: VENT: Yes, I'm cranky.
I completely understand. when we barely have food in the house and decide to eat out, we get into silly arguements as to who is ordering/picking up and what to get.
I hope you figured out what to eat.
