T&P for friend's dad please.
My friend's dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. They found it early and the outlook is good. I don't know very much at all about this type of cancer, but one of the treatment options is to insert radioactive capsules into the rectum (I think.....whatever is near the prostate) and the radiation kills the cancer. He had this procedure done this morning and should be released from the hospital this afternoon.
If you could keep him in your thoughts I'd appreciate it! The downside is that he can't be around his grandkids for 3 months due to the radiation in his body, but this option was better than surgery.
Re: T&P for friend's dad please.
I hope your friend calls her dad radioactive man from now on.
Tons of T&P to him and his family!!
My friend's mom didn't think it was very funny when she said "So, dad is having radioactive anal beads put in him?".
My boss had this same exact treatment. He was never sick from it, totally fine...I wouldnt have even known this was going on with him had he not told me. GL to your friends dad!
