Jury Duty-Yuck or Yea!?
I just called in to preform my 'civic duty' in Hamilton County (downtown Cinci).
Am I terrible if my biggest concern is what to wear? LOL.
I would appreciate if you could share your experiences (...and of course how I should dress:))

If you're actually called to the court house, bring a book to read or a project to work on. You'll be sitting all morning waiting to see if your name is actually called for a jury pool.
I think it's great you're worried about what to wear considering most jurors dress like total crap. I think appearing in a courtroom warrants wearing nice slacks and a top at a minimum. Don't be too stressed considering some of the whack-jobs I've had seated on a jury!
Have fun. It's one of the greatest civic contributions you can make to your community!
I had Jury Duty last year and i actually really liked the experience. I was on a murder case for 3 weeks and although i wouldn't want to do it for that long of a time, i wouldn't mind doing it again. Definitely take a book, magazine, etc because you will be bored sitting there all day long. The first day there you sit and sit and sit and wait for your name to be called. Then you and the rest of the group go into a court room where the lawyers question everyone until they agree on a set jury. If you're not on the jury then you're free to leave but you might have to come back the next day to do the process all over again, depends on how many cases they have.
The case i was on was pretty intense and there were a lot of witnesses so that's why it took forever. some days we would be there for a few hours and other days we'd be there for a full 8 hrs.
Everyone dressed business casual. slacks and a nice top or a sweater (it gets cold in there). It'll be fine, just make sure you're comfortable and bring cash b/c the lots are cash only and they're expensive!!! oh yeah, you get paid $19 a week or you can donate it to a few charities the court supports.
Long winded, but i say YEA!!
