Re: heading to Plymouth..need some advise
Ooh awesome! I love Plymouth. The John Carver Inn has an indoor pool, so if you are comfortable bring your bathing suit and go for a swim.
Sam Diego's downtown is a good place for casual Mexican/American food.
Plimoth Plantation is expensive but could be fun if you are into the history stuff. The Mayflower II is a less expensive option if you just want a taste of it.
There are lots of fun little stores downtown, especially antique shops. Water Street is more souvenir type stuff than up on Main Street.
There are whale watches and harbor cruises during the summer. I'm not sure if any are running now.
Have fun!
Ditto Sam Diegos. Yum!
I really like just walking around the harbor area, especially if it's a nice day. Lots of little shops to check out.
Have a nice weekend!
my blog
Isaac's is good - it is expensive so be prepared.
I wholeheartedly second (third?) Sam Diego's.
For casual food, the Pizza Factory at exit 6 (up the street from the Main Street) is excellent for pizza. Yum.
I also ditto Peaceful Meadows, yum x2.
Walking along the beach is awesome, there are stairs so you and LO don't have to climb down rocks.
Brewster Gardens, down the street from the John Carver, is *beautiful*. I was supposed to have my wedding there and it is great to walk through.
Walk along the Main Street, all the little stores are great.
Also, on the Main Street, there is a great convenience store and Dunkin Donuts so you can buy the little things/snacks you may need in the hotel (if you're anything like me, I lurve snacks).
Have fun! :-)
