My Name Is...

Becky and I have a hoarding problem. Holy cow how did I fit everything in a 2 bedroom apartment. I seriously have an issue with collecting things. I have enough scrapbook stuff to open a store, baking dishes for 2 houses and clothes for 3 months! I'm giving a whole box of brand new pyrex dishes I'm giving to a friend. I will be posting items on ebay to get rid of stuff. I'm starting to feel bad. I have wedding gifts in their boxes never used.

  • Garage sale sweetie. You have lots of treasure for other people, make some money off it. You can do it. XOXOXO

Get rid of the clutter sweetie. That's all you need to tell yourself. ;-)

HUGGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSS and pour yourself a nice glass of wine already? You're a homeowner!!!!

Haha, I'm doing the same thing as I pack up and try to de-clutter my house to put it on the market!  I bet if you polled everyone, a lot of us have wedding gifts still in the box that were never used.
  • OMG I totally feel your pain.

When we moved into ILs I threw away/gave away a LOT and still I have a ton. We're talking the Lupus foundation came to pick up a YARD full of stuff. And I donate every 6 months (give or take) and it doesn't look like I throw/give anything away. I've been holding off on actually giving things away before we move only because I don't want to get in and find out I really needed it and then have to replace it, but I've already got a hunch that I'll be able to get rid of plenty after we move in!

but yeah, and some of them are in storage cause they're kitchen stuff (but in all fairness we moved into ILs 6 months after we got married so yeah, I didn't have time to use them....haha)

I completely understand about putting stuff in storage because you dont have the room now.  I did the same thing.  What happened was I forgot about the stuff.  Then I either bought more or received some as gifts.  Oh lord!!!

I say wait to get rid of more stuff until you move.  You are right you don't know what you need.  You will find you need a lot of stuff. lol
