Vacation plans for the summer?

Do you gals have any interesting vaca plans this summer or is there something you like to do in the summer that's 'tradition'?

Re: Vacation plans for the summer?

  • ok, stupid pic's not showing...

I always say I HAVE to go to the beach (shore if you go to Jersey)...

This year, I have a girls' wkend in DE to celebrate our bdays.  We're taking the SKIDS to Gettysburg, too!

I also love going to one amusement park and we have two that are fairly close by.

  • Exciting plans - Hawaii

Traditional plans - OBX the first week in September.  I should be nice and huge by this time and will probably just sit on the beach and eat all week.

  • We don't have anything too big planned.

We have season passes for the local amusement park, so we will go there several times.

Other than that, we are going to try to make a trip to Charleston to view the city and go to the beach. Dh's cousin lives there and offered us a place to stay, so it'd be a cheap trip and we could cook for ourselves.

Oh and this isn't a vacation, but we are hosting a party for our family and friends on the 4th of July. We are really looking forward to it!

  • No big plans.  I'm going to the Philly area for a girls' weekend with some college friends.  DH and I will probably end up going to NYC to visit family at some point since it's been a year since we last saw them.  Other than that, nothing planned...probably just do weekend-y things.

  • We're going to Maine in early June and I'm going to Korea in mid-June. We may go to California with my family this summer, but there's no definite plans yet.

We don't have any traditional trips anymore. We used to all go up to my dad's family's cottage on a lake, but I think that stopped when I was in college. We're at the beach pretty much every moment possible during the summer though.

  • Funds are tight this year.  I got this for free from work so we will be using it a few times this summer.

  • we dont have any traditional vacation plans :( thoguh that is an awesome idea!

We are going to Maui in August and I am beyond thrilled!

  • I'm road tripping to Mississippi in June, and DH and I are hoping to fit in a trip to Sandusky, OH to go to Cedar Point with a couple of friends, maybe in July.  Also, we're hoping to get some camping in as we recieved a kick arse tent for our wedding and have yet to use it!
  • we are having our 2nd annual Memorial day bbq at my house to kick off the summer.

then hubby and I are headed to Oregon for a week to go camping.

    that's it. . .for us.

  • We have reservations to camp Memorial Day and June 12th - there's an all day music fest called "Rednecks and Red Dirt" that we're taking the kids to, and camping is free there.  In July we're going to Iowa for Redneck's class reunion and bringing home his oldest 2 kids.  I'm sure we'll get some more camping trips in, but nothing too exciting is planned.
