Facepalm of the month...

...Goes to DH and my health insurance.

With my health insurance, they denied all of my claims saying I did not have prior coverage even though I did. I ended up going back and forth with my old job's insurance department for two months to get them to send me a certificate of creditable coverage and they sent me one with incorrect dates. Out of frustration, I went to HR and they said not only did they have my certificate, they could get all my claims paid by the end of the week...and they did! WOOHOO!! I never told my old job I already figured it out because they pissed me off. lol

DH gets it because we had another round of storms that knocked out our power. The next day after the power came back on, our internet was working slowly so DH said he could reset the modem. He goes and pushes the button and suddenly it won't work at all. This morning, DH looks at the modem and realizes he didn't push the reset button, but the standby button instead. Our internet is now working smoothly :)

What's your facepalm moment?

Re: Facepalm of the month...

  • Haha, your DH one cracked me up!

My facepalm moment was today actually. DH and I were over at our new house painting and he went in our DD's room and came back out. He had this look on his face like he was all confused. So I asked him what was wrong.

DH: 'I think you painted one of her walls wrong.'

Me: 'What are you talking about?'

DH: 'One's darker than the other!'

Me: 'Bae, it's called an accent wall.'

::facepalm:: I can't help but love him though!

  • Haha my DH has no clue what an accent wall was either!

My facepalm moment goes to my boss this week.

We are being visited by both the state and federal folks that fund all our of interns. They sent me the dates that they were coming and so I sent out an email invited everyone to lunch. My boss responds that he won't be there as he is off island that day. Then he gets mad when he pieced together he won't see them.  They should have consulted his schedule.

::Facepalm: really they are giving us a million bucks and you can adjust your schedule.

  • LOL Your boss thought that THEY should have adjusted their schedule for him?? bwaahahahahahahaha

    Men, I tell ya...

  • Exactly! I mean really...

One more reason why I'm crossing my fingers the job in the ATL comes through!

  • I'm proud to report that for a change, I don't really have a facepalm to report!  I'm laughing at all the DH facepalm's, though!

My DH does know what an accent wall is, but his mom painted one in her living room about 6 months ago...  He didn't before that!
