March 2010 Weddings
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

So I applied!

I talked it over with DH, and he thinks we'd be better if we moved to ATL. He is going to be transfering to a different college soon, and being in the city would give him a lot more options and make the commute much easier. His family (and the beach) will be farther, but not to far to come home and since every other week I'll have a long weekend we can come down as often as we want.

The money is a little better, the benefits are the same, except I'll actually be off holidays and I'll end up with fewer hours than I work now. Plus, since I'll still be with the state, I get to keep all my accrued vacation (360 hours)  and sick leave (300 hours) . (after so many hours accrued you forfeit it and it counts towards total time in service instead, I have about six weeks of forfeited leave.) So throw in a better atmosphere and the ability to volunteer at the zoo and aquarium  and I've decided if they offer it, I'm taking the leap!

Cross your fingers and thanks for all you input!
