Pie Poll!
I'm having a pie day with my classes today. Can you imagine? I brought 8 kilos of pie (that's about 20 lbs) to school today via 3 subways routes and a bus ride! Some of them definitely got a little squished.
Anyway, each of my class has two pies and I brought different flavours based on their requests: blueberry (most populat), apple (#2), pecan and lemon meringue (tied for last place). I was so surprised that only one class wanted lemon meringue! It's totally one of my favourites.
So...

1. What's your favourite kind of pie: I would have to say lemon meringue as well or an apple crumb pie or rhubarb strawberry crumb pie... sheesh, it's been too long since I've had pie ;P
2. What kind of pie do you hate: Hmm, maybe something sour like cherries, I'm not really sure... pumpkin isn't a huge favorite of mine but it's still okay.

1. Love Lemon Meringue pie and double crust cherry a la mode. I like Apple Sour Cream too. Just tried Coconut Cream Pie for the first time last month and loved it!
2. Cannot stand any sort of "silk" pie or nut pie (like pecan) or mince meat. Yuck. Not a huge fan of pumpkin pie unless it's very firm (more like a custard).

Mmmmmmm....pie!!!! One of my all-time favorite foods!
1. Favs would have to be strawberry-rhubarb (mostly rhubarb, though) and cherry. I don't love apple pie, but I did come in third twice in a local apple pie contest....next year I'm taking it!!!
2. I don't love blueberry pie. I'm not a big blueberry fan in or out of pie. Lemon meringue wouldn't be my first choice, either, though I do love key lime.
1. My favorite pie would have to pumpkin. It's a shame you can only eat it around the holidays. I also love the French Silk Pie from Perkins (it's a chain diner if you've never heard of it), but it's so sweet I can only eat about half of a piece.
2. I don't like anything with banana in it, so banana cream pie would have to be least favorite.
pie is not my favorite but when i was growing up and we spent our summers on long island we went to this farm that made the most amazing coconut cream pie with meringue on top and toasted coconut delish!! i also like key lime and lemon meringue pie-get the picture i am a meringue girl. love pecan pie too.

I also love apple pie, without all the apples. Sounds weird hmm? When we were little, my sister and I would eat all the crust that was nicely gooey-fied from all the apple goo. The actual apples got left behind. hehe :P Yum.

I love many types of pie - lemon, key lime, pumpkin, cherry, etc.
I don't like any nuts pies (I don't like nuts much anyway) or coconut.
Lemon meringue and the strawberry pie at Anna Miller's are my favorite! I also can't deny my love for Ted's Pumpkin Haupia pie!
Least favorite: cherry and blueberry.

1. Custard pie, Okinawan sweet potato and haupia pie, dutch apple pie (love the crumbly topping!).
2. Not really a fan of pumpkin pie and definitely not a fan of any sort of meat pies!

oh man how I L-O-V-E pie!!
I really love fruit pies...though I don't know if I have had cherry & if it is sour I wouldn't like that. But I love apple, peach, berry - yum yum yum! (and I love cobbler if it has that same crust, yummy gooiness, fruit ratio!) I also love lemon merigune and key lime!
Dislike? not big on pecan, pumkin & never tried minced meat, but it doesn't sound very good.
Favorite = Peach Pie
Least Favorite = Nut pies. Not down with it.

1. I don't LOVE pies, but I do love to make them. I guess if I had to pick I would say apple (especially if it's made with these fresh local apples, I call them transparents but I'm not sure that is their real name, they are kind of yellowish and pretty sour - but different tasting than granny smiths). DH's favorite is Lemon Meringue so I make that the most.
2. I actually hate cream pies, so DH gets the whole lemon pie to himself.
1) My grandma's apple pie is my absolute favorite. Unfortunately, she passed away and no one in the family wrote down her recipe
Not sure if these count but I love cobblers (peach, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry) and savory pies like chicken pot pie and shepard's pie.
2) I love pumpkin but I hate pumpkin pie. I think it's the consistency.

Whoa, I need to try that. I never liked silk-y or creamy pies, until I had Ted's Chocolate Haupia pie. Best. Pie. Ever. We had 12 of them at our welcome dinner the night before our wedding - they were demolished, except for one, which we (and family and friends who knew what was up
) enjoyed the day after the wedding. drool.
But - I also love key lime, lemon meringue, strawberry rhubarb, peach, ...basically any fruit pies. ...cherry, blueberry, apple...haha. I like some pecan pies, though i don't eat much of the goo - too sweet. I like pumpkin too.
Least favorite I'd probably say banana cream or mince meat - though I've never tried either - for good reason, I say! haha. and I usually eat everything.
Oh! And can't forget the coconut cream pie at Dahlia Lounge (seattle restaurant) - it has a *huge* reputation, and I don't like cream pies (so i thought) - so the first time I went to Dahlia's, I had to order it just to be able to say everyone else was wrong. but it was so. good.

1. Favorite is any kind of berry pie, or apple pie. I also looooove pecan pie and lemon meringue so I'd have eaten those pies!
2. Chocolate cream pie and banana cream pie. I guess maybe I just don't like cream pies? I think what I object to is the texture. They're just so...squishy.
2) pumpkin, boysenberry,pecan,rhubarb. Those pies you get at Asian restos/markets (like mung bean, egg custard... I don't even like their crust)
