Hey all
So I know quite a few of you are trying to lose weight and tone up (darn you, married pounds!!). I did this program a few summers ago to get back in shape and it worked like a charm, I kept the pounds off for 5 years until this year, when I got super stressed from moving, buying a house, getting married, and starting grad school. Even then, I only gained 8 pounds back. So I decided it's time to get back on track, so I am doing the Body By Glamour plan again.
They change it ever year, so it's different from when I did it the first time, this time the first week of the program has a strict clean eating phase, and then the diet loosens up a little bit. It is a diet, but at the same time, it's not really. It's all about learning to eat healthy and reinforcing good eating choices, so for me it's great, and it doesn't focus on calorie counting, which I get sooooo sick of.
Anyway, I just finished week 1 of the clean eating phase, did their strength workout 2 times and my own cardio plan 3 times and lost 3.5 pounds this week. I know it was a jumpstart because of the clean eating, but by following their plan until it's finished, hopefully I'll be able to keep up the momentum.
Just thought I'd highly recommend it for any ladies that aren't sure if calorie counting, etc. is the right thing for them. You do have to add your food into your food journal, and let me tell you, that is not as easy as TDP or Spark People, but its sufficient.
Re: Body By Glamour *Rave*
thank you so much! i'll definitely look into it
I'm just sick of never seeing results even though i'm healthy and work out regularly! ughh.
Iiiinnteresting. I might have to google that.
I read in the last Cosmo that the average woman gains 21 lbs the first year in their marriage. So chew on that when you reach for a sweet treat.
ETA: You failed to mention it's FREE! Now I have to consider this.

lol yeah I guess I did forget to say it was free. For future notice: I'm super cheap and don't pay for anything I don't have to
*cringe* at putting on 21 pounds. I put on 8 and am super uncomfortable with it. I think part of me being super cheap is what keeps me skinny - when I have to buy pants in a bigger size, I'd rather lose the weight than pay for pants hahahaha
