The coworker strikes again!
Today she told me that her and her FI are getting married because they realize they can "do it right" and not have to be the kind of couple who "uses food stamps".
She said 'food stamps' like it was a dirty word. So apparently, if you and your SO hit hard times, you aren't doing your marriage right by using food stamps. I don't think anyone PLANS on having to get government assistance, but sometimes, it happens. I would never look down on someone for needing help.

Also... I propose this be the new way to determine if someone is right for you. "I can be with this person and not use food stamps." Obviously this is a match made in heaven.
