Anyone have a KitchenAid blender and have to replace the pitcher?

I got a KitchenAid blender as a wedding present, and while I love it I'm a little annoyed that the plastic pitcher already is cracked at the bottom.  I've probably used it less than 20 times in 2 years.

Anyway, has anyone else had to replace the pitcher and know where I can get a new one?  Amazon sells them for around $40, but I'm hoping to find one a bit cheaper.

Edited - I mean blender, not mixer.

  • Wait, are we talking a mixer or a blender?  I'm thinking blender . . . and if so, you may be able to call the manufacturer and get a free replacement.
  • Oops yes, blender.  Good idea, I'll try calling them tomorrow!

  • My friend had a Kitchenaid blender that the seal on the pitcher broke.  She called the manufacturer and they sent her one free of charge.  Not sure why, but I have heard their customer service is pretty good.
