Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

30 Day Shred

First: Apologies for starting a third thread in 24 hours.  

Second: Anyone want to do it with me?  I'm starting tomorrow.  I bought the DVD and a mat at Target tonight ($9 each - score!).  I think some of you have done this before.  I watched through the first workout tonight to see how it goes so I don't stumble through it tomorrow.  It's simple moves but I know it's going to push me.  I freaking hate Jillian, but she's much less obnoxious on the DVD than she is on Biggest Loser.

Third: At the very least, someone please hold me accountable.  Please yell at me every day for the next month until I get off my fat ass and actually do the workout.  Pleeeeeaase, I have no will power.

  • I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it!! I've done it before and it worked miracles for me. Jillian pisses me off, so much, especially now that she's got her own diet pills - freaking hippocrite! But, I mock her during the workout and it makes it go a little easier lol.

    Tomorrow: Day 1!  And believe me - I will keep you accountable :)

    I read online that she's being sued over the pills.

    Question: Should I do level 1 for 10 days, level 2 for 10 days and level 3 for ten days?  Or just progress as needed, even if that means I never get to level 3 or get there super fast?

  • It's amazing how quickly you will get in shape. I did it 10 days apiece the first time, and the second time I got bored with level 1 and advanced quicker. I personally believe that you have to work to your own fitness level, so staying at levels 1 or 2 longer would be more beneficial than trying to move to level 3 and only being able to work out half as hard because you're not comfortable. If you don't make it to level 3 the first time through, there is always the option to do it again. 
  • hmm i like this idea...that way i HAVE to do it. I'm thinking about going to pick it up today, and I'll let you know!

  • So we don't have a post every single day, should we post a 30DS thread for days 1-10 and then just keep track of those days in that thread, then when we get to days 11-20, start a new thread, and so on for 21-30?
  • Sounds good to me.  I'm excited to have Shred Buddies!!  After I vacuum all the litter off my workout spot, I'm going to do Day 1
