My friend is driving me nuts! She is pregnant and has freaking lost her damn mind!
She started taking her son to Bebe's daycare. Not a really big deal, except her kid is a freaking brute and Bebe can't stand him. Top that with my friend constantly calling Bebe his girlfriend . . . its pissing me off. My kid is 9 months old, SHE IS NO ONE'S GIRLFRIEND. Its funny the first time, the 4,935,353,233 you say it makes me want to punch you in the face repeatedly. Back off.
Monday she asked me to pick up her son and take him to daycare. Um, no. It would be super out of the way and I don't have the time to go get him . . . I'm not getting up an hour earlier. Then she wanted me to pick up her dog on my way from daycare to take him to my office. Um, no. I don't have time!
She brought her son to daycare knowing he was sick and now Bebe has this horrific cold that is turning into bronchitis. I'm going to strangle her.
And now . . . . she has been texting me all morning trying to recommend her ped and urgent care . . . I have a great ped, go to their urgent care, have no interest in changing. That made her decide she wants to know where we go so she can try them out.
I'm going to kill her. She is one of those friends that I usually have to keep at a bit of a distance because she can be a life sucker. She is life-sucking again. She is pregnant again, which was stupid considering she intentionally got pregnant knowing her husband carries the gene that caused all the serious birth defects their son has and IT WILL BE PASSED ON TO THIS BABY TOO . . .selfish and childish decision . . .
I'm sorry . . . flame me if you like . . . . but I am ready to scream and just had to get this out. This is the friend who painted her house to match mine . . . told me she bought the furniture that she did because it looked similar to mine . . . got a tattoo like mine . . . etc. I'm over the copy catting!!!!!

Agreed. She sounds like a HUGE pain in the you know what.
Ditto...
What was that movie called?... Single White Female?. no... something else where the college roommate turned into her roommate... that's just crazy!
Amen, sista!
I think now is the time to tell her that you have gotten a pink panther tattoo on your arse and see if she follows through. Then point and laugh at her.
Seriously it is totally Single White Female. Keep your distance and start letting all her calls go to voicemail.
This lady seems like she is still a child herself, no wonder you feel drained in her presence. Taking a child to school while sick/contagious is irresponsible and the whole "girlfriend" thing would get on my last nerve!
I can understand wanting a second child regardless if it was going to have birth defects or not but it does not seem (from what you wrote here) that she even really took this into consideration.
I'm definitely not saying that wanting more children is wrong . . . but the genetic issue that her husband carries causes serious problems. Among quite a few other things, it causes benign growths that can show up in the heart, brain, lungs or behind the eyes. Their son has one in his heart that is thankfully not causing any issues as he grows. Many children get these and they cause major problems, especially if the tumors develop in the brain or behind the eyes. I just don't understand intentionally passing these genes down when adoption is an option. (I asked her and she said adoption is too expensive so they decided to just get pregnant.) Ugh. I'm so incredibly blessed to have a healthy baby, I just can't imagine intentionally getting pregnant if I knew I would give my child serious obstacles to overcome. Plus, her son has some major problems developmentally and otherwise . . .he needs her full attention. . .
Geez! This is serious! I would not want to gamble with a second child possibly getting these tumors. Adoption is expensive but probably not as expensive as having two kids with major health problems. I'm hoping their kids never get them behind their eyes or brain.
