Need OB/GYN

Hi ladies,

I'm new to the area and need a rec for an OB/GYN as I'm due for my annual exam next month.  I'd prefer a group of docs (say up to 6 in the practice) that deliver out of Spectrum.  The OB part is really what is important to me, I absolutely loved all of my docs back in Troy- they were so wonderful throughout my pregnancy and esp childbirth.  Any recs are appreciated as well as reasons WHY!  TIA!

Re: Need OB/GYN

  • I used a group of midwives, so I'm no help there, but, maybe ask your old OB for a referral to the area? That's what I did when I first moved over. The OB I saw though went out of practice a few years back when she became pregnant, otherwise I'd recommend her :)
  • Totally a lurker but my OB's practice fits your description. In fact, I think I got her name from his board a couple years ago!

Dr. Michelle Klyn out of Spectrum OBGYN. There are five (six?) docs in the practice, and I met all but one during my pregnancy. They're in the Women's Health Center of West Michigan, that newer building right off of 196 (in the middle of the construction zone!). There's also a breastfeeding shop owned by an LC there that was a lifesaver after DD was born - weekly support group, etc.

    Here's their Spectrum page. 616-391-3315.

I love love love Klyn but the other docs were great too.

This is my rec as well. I see Dr. Ulstad, but all of the docs are good.

  • Another vote for Dr. Klyn. You'll find a lot of us go to that practice. :o)

  • I see the Dr's at MMPC OBGYN.  They have offices on Lake Michigan Drive in Standale area and also on on the East Beltline.

I see Dr. Federico and really like him.  I have met the majority of the staff there, and really like the pracitce.  They deliver at Spectrum.
