M's BP
So, dipshiit went to the doc's today (he now has rosacea(sp?) on his nose, passed down to him from his Grandfather and Father). Of course the NP checked his BP, 140/100 (Stage 1 Hypertension). Imma kill him. Once again SUPPOSEDLY he's going to start eating right and exercising......we'll see. The NP told him she will put a note in his file that he is to have his BP under control, or at least showing signs it's heading that way by his next physical or the doc will put him on meds for it.
Oy.

Oh M...get your act together.
My DH's doc had to threaten him with insulin shots for his diabetes last visit b/c he isn't watching his sugars and exercising enough. He's got 2 months to get it together otherwise it's time for needles!

Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
totally sucks.
Before DH lost his job right after the wedding (Read: When he had health insurance) He was on BP AND High Cholesterol meds! When he lost the ins he stopped the meds and hasnt been back to the doc...
He could be dying a slow artery plugged death for all I know. He started his new job today, so hopefully he gets health ins SOON...and then his ass is back to the doc. I ahve made changes to his diet, but he eats at night when i go to sleep and when he isnt around me I have no idea what he does.
I try to buy low fat just about everything, whoel wheat bread and pasta, HE maybe gets red meat once a week or every 2 weeks.
But he doesnt excersize. Men....
Scares me, too! I just got my cholesterol checked and that's nerve wracking/racking... ugh!
I do hope he sees what you're doing for your health, self, etc, and gets the wake up call he needs!
Yikes. I hope he shapes up soon. High BP is not something to be fooled around with.
