Intro and a question
Hi. I just got married in Galveston in April and we live here in Austin. I've been lurking since a little before the wedding and thought I'd introduce myself. I work in retail and DH is a software engineer. We live in Wells Branch and have two dogs a Golden Retriever named Gordo and a a mutt named Fuzzbutt (DH named him). If you want to know anything else just ask.
I also have a question. I need to find a hair salon. I don't color my hair so I'm just looking for a place to get it cut and would prefer not to spend more than $40 or $50. I live in Wells Branch so something in the area would be nice. I looked on yelp and saw good reviews for Trashy Roots Salon and Spa. Does anyone have any reviews on this place or anywhere else? Recommendations for for a specific stylist would be nice too. TIA

I highly highly recommend ZigZag salon. It's downtown. I use Jessica, but all the ladies are awesome. Melody always gets rave reviews. I usually spend about $40 when I go there. I swear they read your mind in knowing what you want.
Is your mutt the one on the right in your sig? Ours is part schnauzer too. Thanks for the rec.

I go to Kisma Spa and Salon. It's off of Great Hills Trail in north Austin. It's the shopping center with Trulucks, Bed Bath and Beyond, and the new Sprouts. I see Laura Ann, but everyone there is very nice. They're reasonably priced also for a hair cut, and will throw in a hand massage, scalp massage, or makeup touch up for you.
We do northie GTGs every month and actually have one planned for this Wednesday at the McCormick and Schmick's in the Domain. Let me know if you want to be added to the evite list!

When I lived farther north, I used to go to that salon on Parmer/35 in the tech ridge shopping center and liked the cuts I got there as well. I wont lie, I like the girls at Zig Zag better!
