We're going here for a long weekend. We're staying in the north and more southern part for a couple of days each. What are some fun things to do or check out? I know most people just relax and sit on the beach but didn't know if there were things that people would suggest to do. Any good places to eat?
Thanks in advance.
Re: Outer Banks
It can be kind of pricey, but last year DH took me horseback riding on the beach for my birthday. It was quite enjoyable.
Theres also a REALLY good place to eat over on ocracoke , Howards Pub, was super delicious

I love the south end. We usually stay on Ocracoke and only take a day trip to Nag's Head.
On Ocracoke, we rent bikes and ride around the island to the different shops. There are a few good restaurants, like the Jolly Roger and Howard's Pub.
When we day trip, we usually go to Jockey's Ridge, the Wright Bros museum, the aquarium, etc.
