It sounds like several of us would be interested in doing this. I'll attempt to organize (and actually show up this time
). I know Buckeye had a request for before the end of June since she might be moving out of the area at that point, so let's shoot for that.
I'm thinking we'll do Cabot's in Newton. They have burgers, sandwiches, and other similar food too in addition to ice cream. Does anyone have a preference for what night of the week? I'm pretty flexible as my volleyball league will be over by then. Let's start with responses on what night of the week and ballpark times that you each prefer, and I'll send out an eVite for whatever works for the most people. TIA!

Re: Ice cream GTG
This sounds like fun! Can a newb like me join?
Do you know if Cabot's is T accessible? I see it's near the Framingham/Worcester line but that's too infrequent for me

Of course newbies can come!
The closest stop to Cabot's would be the Newtonville commuter rail station but it sounds like that won't work for you? I don't think any green line stops are that close, but you could use the trip planner feature on the MBTA website to check. Where are you coming from?
I can do Tues, Wed, or Thurs...5 o'clock works best for me but anytime really between 5-8 is good.
Manda or anyone else for that matter, I could pick you up from the commuter rail line if you'd like because it's a pretty long walk.
There's tons of street parking in that area, so it should be easy to find a spot. There's also a small lot right behind the restaurant, but it fills up quickly.
I can't believe I lived right around the corner from there and never went... it was always packed when I drove by. I think it's too difficult to get into Newton at night... I might be able to make it but not sure-- so don't plan around me!
